LEAD SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties
Case Management:
1. Coordinate, document, and channel all CASA requests until resolution.
2. Match CASA case with appropriate volunteer in consultation with the Program Director.
3. Initiate orders for assignment of volunteer to case and prepare statement to the judge.
4. Consult with the Program Director about problems or concerns.
5. Attend docket call.
6. Initiate orders to rescind and prepare statement for judge.
Volunteer Supervision:
1. Make a minimum of monthly contact with each volunteer and receive a monthly oral or written report from each volunteer ensuring educational, medical, emotional, and best interest advocacy is provided to each child.
2. Provide assistance and consultation as needed and when requested.
3. Schedule, coordinate and attend ongoing in-service programs.
4. Keep necessary and appropriate volunteer records as directed by the Executive Director.
Program Activities:
1. Attending all available conferences and workshops for the development of programs for volunteers.
2. Attending all staff meetings.
3. Assist in public education about volunteer program – i.e. GALS, DCFS, employees, speeches.
4. Assist in volunteer appreciation events.
Volunteer Training:
1. Assist with volunteer recruitment.
2. Assist with screening and interviewing of prospective volunteers.
3. Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and attending all training classes, assisting as moderator and/or presenter when needed.
4. Assist with development of training material.
Other:
1. Other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree in social service-related field or 3 years’ experience in volunteer coordination and/or social services.
Ability to communicate with, supervise and empower volunteers to be effective in their roles. Experience with volunteers given preference.
Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within families in crisis relating to child abuse and neglect. Experience working with such families given preference.
Supervision
The Lead Supervisor will be responsible to the Program Director of CASA of Effingham County.

35-hour work week, salary to commensurate with experience
